Lake Leatherwood Park

Lake Leatherwood Park surrounds an 85-acre spring-fed lake. Fishing, swimming, hiking, biking and boating are available on the grounds. The lake is formed by one of the largest hand-cut native limestone dams in the nation, built in the early 1940’s. A diverse population of water foul and other birds, including heron, geese, eagles, and wild turkey populate Lake Leatherwood Park.
